Russell Fowler, President of Lions Club in Cromwell visited on Monday to present the winners of the aluminium collection competition.

CPS wins the Lion's Trophy!

Throughout the past 5 weeks, students and their families have been battling it out to win the very first house competition of 2022. 

Each day, students have been collecting aluminium from their homes, their neighbours homes, and in some cases- their whole communities homes! The collected aluminium went into specific house coloured bins and the most aluminium collected each week put that house in front. The collected aluminium was then donated to the Lions Club who use the proceeds to support Kidney Kids NZ. 

Russell Fowler let us know that we had collected over 90 kg which is a huge effort, with the the winning house being Molyneux. They won themselves an easter egg hunt. 

For the whole schools mammoth collection efforts, Russell presented us with the Lions Trophy, for being the Lion who collected the most for the month. Congratulations Cromwell Primary!
