Officially on the Countdown!

Matthew McCormick —

Invitations, farewells and staffing updates.

Kia ora everyone.

It is hard to believe that we are only 3.5 weeks away from the end of the year. All kaiako have been working incredibly hard completing and compiling progress and achievement data and preparing the last couple of posts which summarises your child's progress over the year. This term you will receive a literacy post, end of year general comment and the student's progress graphs will have been updated.

Congratulations to those students who competed in the Dunstan Zones and Central Otago Athletics competitions. Mr Ede will celebrate the achievement of our CPS students in the next newsletter.

For all of those who have supported our school in any capacity throughout the year, please join us on December the 11th at 11am in the hall so we can acknowledge your support through a morning tea shout. You will also see invitations in your student's weekly blast or individually by me or your students teacher.

Farewell to the Kyle whānau as they head to Dunedin to live. Macallister, Spencer and Edward will be missed for the kindness and positive energy they bring to our kura, all in different ways and I'd also like to thank Kirsten for all of your help over the years, most recently in getting the library reestablished. All the best in Dunedin.

Staffing Update

A couple of weeks ago I announced that Amber Nepe will be concluding her time at Cromwell Primary at the end of this year.

I'm pleased to announce that next year Melissa McEldowney will take on the Office Administration position. Mel is a well known and well liked member of our team already as a casual Learning Assistant and will now follow in her mother's footsteps (who has been working in school admin for nearly 30 years!) with this new role. We are sure Melissa will be a fantastic addition to our admin team.
