Principal's Message
The cold weather hasn't slowed down what has been a busy and vibrant month at Cromwell Primary
Our Junior Cross Country event was a resounding success. It was heartwarming to see our students braving the chilly weather with such enthusiasm and determination. A special shout-out goes to the parents who joined in, running alongside their children and creating a wonderful community atmosphere. Your support and participation made the day even more special.
Progress on our new astroturf is coming along nicely. This addition to our school will provide a fantastic space for our students to play and participate in sports all year round. We appreciate your patience as we complete this project.
This month, we bid farewell to Mel Homann, who has been an integral part of our Learning Assistant team. Mel's dedication and hard work have greatly impacted many students over her 3 year term and she will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Mel will continue as an After School Care facilitator.
At the same time, we are delighted to welcome back Emma Everett, who is rejoining our Learning Assistant team. Emma’s experience and enthusiasm are a valuable asset to our school, and we are excited to have her back. Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to Carmel Shearer, who will be joining us as the teacher for our next New Entrant intake. We look forward to the positive contributions she will bring to our learning community.
It was wonderful to see our students wearing pink in support of Pink Shirt Day, promoting kindness, and standing up against bullying. The sea of pink around the school was a powerful reminder of our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment.
We recently celebrated Support Staff Appreciation Day, honouring the unsung heroes of Cromwell Primary School. Our Learning Assistants, Admin team, and Cleaners/Caretaker work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our school runs smoothly. Their dedication and hard work are invaluable and we are deeply grateful for their contributions.
Enjoy your weekend.
