8 learners from the senior school competed in the EPRO8 challenge on Wednesday & Thursday last week
This competition required students to use their engineering, problem-solving and collaborating skills as they worked through a set of challenges. Some of the challenges included building a toaster, building a scooter, and building a rollercoaster. Wednesday was the semi-finals and CPS did amazingly. We took out first and second place for our year group and brought home the semi-final trophy.
Thursday was the grand-finals, and the challenges were significantly harder. Our Cromwell Primary kids showed great perseverance in the face of the challenges and didn't let the toaster defeat them! We managed to take out 3rd and 5th place at the Grand Finals. This was our first year entering the EPRO8 event and we are really looking forward to competing again next year. Thanks to all the parents who helped with transport or came along to support.
