Kia ora whanau

Firstly I would like to thank you for being so patient while I was away sick for the last two weeks. I appreciated the kind emails, messages and lovely cards our Room 3 Little Legends sent through - they certainly made me smile! 

In regards to parent interviews - you will have received a new booking schedule via HERO where you can book in a new time slot. You will notice the time slots are different to the previous slots - as I am still not 100% well I will be doing them over the course of several afternoon slots. If there isn't a slot that suits please just email me and we will arrange a time that works. 

We have started to learn about Information Reports this week, what needs to be included, the difference between fact/opinion and learning to craft our own :) Reading is seeing some children involved in a novel study, some children focusing on specific and explicit reading skills, some children working through some mini chapter books and other children reading some high interest journal books. There is a high level of engagement in every reading session - we are all systems go!

If your child has chosen to be a part of our Kapa Haka Festival group please take note of the information included in this newsletter - tickets go on sale for this awesome event on the 19 August and are very limited. We are looking forward to showing off our new uniforms :)
