Room 4 and 5 News | Term 1, Week 10
Kia ora whānau
How are we already nearing the end of Term 1? What a term it has been! We are so proud of the effort and thinking our wonderful tamariki have put into their learning.
Enjoy reading your child's engagement report, and we look forward to meeting with whānau next term (Week 2) - please remember to book a time.
In Room 4 and 5, we have been learning to write simple sentences. We know we can add a who, a do, and a where to make our sentences more interesting. We’re also working on correct letter formation, writing fluency, and spelling skills, including breaking words into sounds to spell using the finger spell strategy (see some examples attached).
Come and have a look at the lovely sunflowers in Room 5. The tamariki have worked hard to produce their gorgeous works of art (see some examples attached).
Room 5 would love some family sized boxes of tissues for classroom use please. One per family would be greatly appreciated, if you are able. We also always welcome small used boxes (e.g., cereal boxes), tubes (not toilet rolls) etc for construction projects. Thank you for your support!
Kia pai tō mutunga wiki me tō whānau! (Have a good weekend with your family!)
