Ski Trip | Wednesday 25th September

Dear Parents/Caregivers

We are crossing our fingers for some glorious spring skiing for our school trip scheduled for Wednesday 25th September. As in past years, we will be going to Porter Heights, and the cost per skier/snowboarder (adult or child) remains at $50 per person. This includes:

• Gear hire

• Lift ticket

• A lesson

Although this trip is not compulsory, this is fantastic opportunity to experience skiing/snowboarding at a much-reduced rate. School will be running as normal for those who do not wish to take part.

We do not run a bus to the ski field; transport is via private vehicle. We encourage you to sort ride-share options amongst yourselves, but please contact the office if a) you are unable to find a ride for your child, or b) you have a spare seat for another child.

Please note:

• Helmets are mandatory on the mountain. Porter Heights will supply one free of charge to anyone who does not have one. They are no longer able to rent out ski jackets, ski pants, gloves or goggles.

• Swapping over from ski to snowboard during the day will come at a cost of $20.

• Failure to return ski gear to the rental shop at the end of the day will result in a penalty of $250.

• Lunch bookings are available for an additional cost of $14 per child and $16 per adult. This package includes a wrap (ham, chicken or vegetarian), piece of fruit (apple, banana or orange) and small dessert (cookie or brownie). Dietary options available on request. GF options are available. Pre-booking is essential for this; you will see the relevant section on the booking form attached.

If you and/or your child(ren) intend to come along, please fill out the attached form for every individual skiing/snowboarding and return to the office with payment no later than Friday 6th September. Payment is to be made to the school directly, with reference: 'Ski Trip'. Our account number is:  03 1592 0074218 00. Spare copies of the form can be collected from the school office, if you are unable to print them at home.
