Kia Ora Whānau,

We wanted to take a moment to celebrate the amazing work our tamariki did with their recent speech presentations. It was truly inspiring to see how brave and confident they were, standing up in front of their peers / whānau and sharing their ideas about our school values / Piko’s TIPS in action. Each student showed that we can tackle challenging tasks and do hard things with determination and a positive attitude.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the growth they’ve demonstrated. Thank you for your continued support at home with learning—it makes all the difference.

Student Voice / Reflections:

  • "I’m proud of myself because I was fluent.“ Sophie, Room 4

  • "Learning to present a speech is important because it helps you talk confidently in front of people.” Foxton, Room 5

  • "The hardest part of presenting my speech was speaking in front of a large audience, but I am really proud of myself.” Maella, Room 3

  • "The best part of presenting my speech was that I gave it my best effort, and I did it!" Isla, Room 4

  • "I felt nervous when it was my turn, but I liked it when Mrs. Pester helped me." Unmoveable, Room 5
