Room 3 News | Term 1, Week 4
Kia ora whanau
After another terrific week we are well settled into our routines, and the children are doing a fantastic job with these. In maths, we are finishing up our statistics unit and will soon begin working with numbers to 1,000. In writing, we are focusing on how to write complete sentences with description. Swimming continues when the weather allows, and our visual pepeha are taking shape - we will share these as soon as they are ready! Mahi tika ana! Great work everyone!
Room 3 Playdough Spelling - this week Room 3 have been learning about the FLoSZ rule - where usually if a word ends with an f, l, s and z at the end of a word or syllable after a short vowel - we have to double that letter!!! (there are always exceptions). Jade and Gia have done a fabulous job making some words that end with the FLoSZ rule!! Mrs McLeod is very impressed!
Have a lovely weekend. Ngā mihi ~ Shannon
