Sarah Cameron —

Our class recently held a MUFTI day in rainbow colours as a response to the Christchurch incident.

Students were asked to come in rainbow colours for Mufti to promote diversity and the acceptance of people for who they are.

To help the kids understand why they were having a rainbow Mufti day, a class session was held on DIVERSITY and accepting people for who they are. We talked about DIVERSITY of all people whether BLACK, FEMALE, DIFFERENT BELIEFS, VALUES, DEAF, HEARING and other DIFFERENCES.

We ended our discussion by producing colourful pictures embracing the reason for our MUFTI day.
