EOTC week

Beverley Booth —

We've got an exciting time planned for the week beginning 20th March, our EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) week.

EOTC is very important to us and we believe that children should spend time learning in the outdoors as a regular part of school life. We are lucky that our grounds and the surrounding community afford us many opportunities to learn outside the classroom.

During EOTC week we plan physical activities that challenge the  children in age appropriate ways.

We start the week with Junky Monkeys, building and creating with loose parts play. For more information follow this link https://junkymonkeys.org/  I am sure that Helen Jaworski, our Akomanga Ngahere co-ordinator, and the teachers will get lots of ideas for new resources for our Akomanga Ngahere (nature classroom) provision.

The week continues with day visits for younger children and overnight camps for the older children.
