My teaching philosophy

My approach to teaching is to create a friendly, inclusive space and an engaging programme of learning for all children. I want school to be a place for children to explore, discover, learn, create - and make friends and have plenty of fun along the way! I work hard to create a caring and kind class community so children feel safe and happy in class and at school every day.

My experience/qualifications

I was a journalist in London for nearly 20 years then did my teacher training PGCE at the University of Sussex in England. I have worked as a primary teacher since 2019. I started at DPS in 2021.

• Exploring the outdoors

About me

My family and I live locally and we love to enjoy the beaches and parks of the area. I love reading, gardening, kayaking and everything outdoors. I would love to sail around the world.
