Thanks to a wonderful group of parents who are able to supervise, our very popular chess club will start up again the first Friday of Term 3. If your child would like to play chess, go to Room 4, at 8.00am, Friday, 24 July. If you can help in any way at all, casually or on a roster, please let the school office know. Below are the guidelines that apply:

No devices allowed for chess club. It defeats the social purpose of chess club... In summary:

• Ideally Year 3 and above - for concentration and understanding chess rules, and being able to play a game with other children.
• No experience required, beginners are welcome.
• Children who attend the chess club must participate in chess playing.
• Real chess boards will be used, no devices allowed.
• Parents are very welcome to stay and play a chess game.
