Room 12, 13 and 14
Our building work was completed earlier in the term, with Mr Robinson moving into room 12 a few weeks ago. Miss Watson's class will remain in Room 2 for the time being. Miss Jaworski has begun the move into Room 14.
A few issues remain with the renovation of the three rooms. One of these concerns the glass doors around the "breakout space" shared by rooms 12 and 13. There is a significant gap between the wall and the doors and this design will need to be remedied in order to improve sound-proofing between the rooms. We feel that this means both rooms will be noisier than we would wish and that children may be distracted. Consequently Room 2 will remain in Room 2 for the time being. Understandably, room 2 children are disappointed not to be moving into the new space but I must stress that this decision has been made by the teachers in the best interests of the children. Sarah is very happy to be staying in Room 2, where she feels her class is settled and working well.
There will be opportunities throughout the remainder of the year for year 5 students to work together, and similarly for Year 6 students to work on end of year etc together.
