Beverley Booth —

Read on for details of of these two events. Poppies will be on sale, for a gold coin donation, before school on Thursday morning

Our ANZAC assembly will take place on Thursday 11th April. Parents, caregivers and whanau are very welcome to join us. Our assembly will begin in the hall at 9.15. Weather permitting, we will move to the area by the flag pole for the second part of our ceremony. Classes are currently learning about ANZAC, in age appropriate ways, to help them understand engage with the ANZAC activities.  In light of recent events, the staff have decided that our focus will be on friendship, inclusion and gratitude for the peaceful lives that we are able to live here in Devonport. The children are also engaged in art activities with a theme of peace.

The Devonport ANZAC parade will take place during the school holidays, on 25th April. Please do come along to represent the school. I will meet students who wish to walk with us at New World at 9.30am. After the parade has ended please collect your children from outside the Westpac Bank. We will need children to carry our school banner and to present the wreath on behalf of the school.
