Our class speeches will take place in week 4, with our school speech final at 9.15 on Friday 25th August.
All Osprey students will write a speech entitled "What should we do...?" The speeches should have a clear message and are intended to influence others.
The children are working on their speeches in the classrooms, as part of our learning (Writing to influence others). They will also use their reading skills to gather information, and their statistical skills to gather or interpret data as evidence.
Whilst we do encourage parent interest, please remember that the speeches should be written by the children. We would love you to help your child with ideas, directing them towards useful research, or helping them to practice delivering their speech. The finished result should clearly have been written by a child!
