DPS is able to offer many opportunities to the students because of the additional funds we are able to raise, on top of MoE allocation. A letter will be sent home shortly, explaining our donation scheme. Please be aware that this is a donation and parents should contact Beverley if they have any questions or concerns.

Our additional funds have traditionally come from four main streams: fund raising by the PTA, parent (and other) donations, letting the school (including the sale of pool keys), and hosting international students. In total, these locally raised funds can bring around $200,000 per year into our school. We are hugely grateful for this money and know we are very fortunate to have the means to be able to provide resources such as an extra teacher each year, a forest playground, updated junior toilets and a vast array of STEM equipment. The most recent PTA funds have been used to purchase new furniture, to partially fund the refurbishment of the toilets by Room 14, and to undertake essential maintenance on our school pool. In 2025, we will continue to fund an extra teacher, reline the school pool, and hopefully give some attention to the surface of the courts.

Thank you to the PTA and Fair Committee for all you do in bringing people together and generating funds for the school. Volunteers are always welcome and the meetings are a great way for new parents to make new friends. 

Please note that in the meeting of 30th October 2024, the BOT decided to increase the Parent Donation and also the Activity Payment to meet rising costs. The new amounts will be:

Parent Donation $450 for one child, $800 for two or more children. There will be a 10% discount for early payment in Term 1.

Activity Payment $110 per child per year. This covers the cost of extra curricular trips and activities throughout the year.

Please prioritise the activity payment which goes directly to funding activities.
