All staff are looking forward to welcoming our new and returning students and parents to school.
We are sorry for any disruption caused by the closure of DPS Skids. Please be assured that we are doing all in our power to find a new solution.
Each year Nest consultancy deliver a positive puberty programme for Y6. Data from our 2023 Health Survey revealed strong parental support for a similar programme in Year 5. Consequently, this was introduced in 2024.
Our Meet the Teacher evening is on Tuesday 18th February.
Guitar and Ukulele Lessons are available at school next year, with Dave Gatman from Musiqhub. If you would like more information, or to enrol your child to start lessons in 2024, please contact Dave on 021 2221456 or dave.gatman@musiqhub.co.nz.
DPS is able to offer many opportunities to the students because of the additional funds we are able to raise, on top of MoE allocation. A letter will be sent home shortly, explaining our donation scheme. Please be aware that this is a donation and parents should contact Beverley if they have any questions or concerns.
In 2025 we have two teaching teams, reflecting the new "phases" in the NZ Curriculum (Y 0-3 and Y 4-6).
A reminder that school will be closed on Thursday 6th February (Waitangi Day) and also on Friday 7th February for a Teacher Only Day.
A reminder that children should not have mobile phones in their possession during the school day. This also applies to Smart watches that can operate in a similar manner to phones.
It is our school policy that all children should wear a bucket-style hat. We have DPS bucket hats for sale at $20. Please email the school office or call in.
