Our team braved frosty conditions to compete strongly.

This Wednesday we arrived at Ferrymead Park to be greeted by zero degrees air. 

Undeterred, our Year 5 girls headed out on the first race of the day with gusto.  All finished early in the field. 

Everyone 'chilled', waiting for their turn to race. Our competitors told us it was a relief to be running - a chance to warm up!

Despite the cold weather, we all had a great day. 

Our thanks go to all the parents who helped us train, who drove us to and from the event, who supported us with cheers while we raced, and who reminded us to put our warm clothes on after the races.
