Last week children from Diamond Harbour School enjoyed book week. 

Activities included an evening of shared bedtime stories and hot chocolate, a visit from fantastic author Bill Nagelkerke who entertained the tamariki with his stories and "magic" tricks, a whole school bumper literary quiz, a community wide book swap and the ever popular dress up parade.  Friday’s dress up parade saw some amazing costumes, with Alice in Wonderland a clear favourite. It wasn’t just the tamariki who enjoyed dressing up, the staff went all out to make the day a memorable one.
