Rippa Afternoon Fun!

Diamond Harbour School —

We were very lucky to have Dom and Chrissy organise a fabulous afternoon of Rippa Skills fun.

Rippa Fun Afternoon Years 0 – 5

Rugby season is nearly upon us. To drum up interest and start the ball rolling, a fun skills session was held at school. Years 0 – 5 spent Wednesday afternoon out on the field. We ran through some drills including weaving through flags, passing and ‘dead ant’. Years 3 – 5 spent time learning how to play Rippa Rugby. The Under 11 Diamond Harbour boys helped to lead the session. We were very impressed by their skills. They showed initiative, involved the new young players and were super helpful.

The Diamond Harbour Rugby Club celebrates 50 years in May 2019. We have a strong junior club, who plays within the Ellesmere district on Saturday mornings. Its great fun and encourages a strong sense of community. Everyone is welcome, registrations are open at https://www.sporty.co.nz/viewform/85411 Get involved - great fun for the whole family.

A big thank you to those involved, especially Dom, Chrissy and Darren who gave freely of their time to give our children a fabulous afternoon.
