Welcome Phillipa
We are thrilled to have Phillipa Fenemor join us as our new Deputy Principal. Phillipa has a wealth of experience working with a wide range of students. She has a wonderful skillset with strengths and interests both in and out of the classroom. I asked Phillipa to introduce herself ....
I have twenty-one years of teaching experience, after gaining a Bachelor of Education in Science at the University of Canterbury and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning at the Christchurch College of Education. I began my teaching career in Greymouth before moving to South Canterbury to teach in a two teacher rural school. For the last 18 years, I've been teaching at Prebbleton School and have taught across Years 0-6.
I was born and bred in Nelson and still consider it home, visiting my parents whenever possible. I have an older brother, also a teacher, and I love spending time with my two nieces. In my spare time, I also enjoy reading, gardening, crafts and all sports, especially swimming and basketball.
I have heard wonderful things about Diamond Harbour School and the local community. I am looking forward to the challenge of being Deputy Principal and am excited to be working alongside Jill and the other teachers, and meeting everyone. I will also never get tired of the gorgeous view from my classroom window!
