It was lovely on Monday morning to be able to welcome the new members of our community to Te Kura o te Waipapa.

It was a beautiful Diamond Harbour day as we welcomed staff members and a student to our school. The new members waited on the diamond patterned area outside the administration block to be welcomed on by the whole school singing. 

This was follow by brief speeches and the kapa haka group performing. Our cultural leaders helped to lead this event, their first formal obligation for 2020. 

Nirvana-Jean said a karakia kai before the students were able to have an extended morning tea, and adults shared kai in the staffroom.
