Last week Kotare had the opportunity to visit Laura's dairy at Orton Bradley Park.

The cows are spoilt with the views across the harbour. They live on an organic farm and are well cared for. They have a varied diet, so never get sick of eating their food: grass, cloves, plaintin and chickory. We learn't plenty of interesting facts about cows. You need to ask the Kotare children and they will tell you what you may not already know. 

It was a worthwhile visit to Orton Bradley Park. The session was well organised and Katie was an excellent educator who held the children's interest throughout the entire session. The children saw the process of milking and also learnt how milk is made. Laura is kept very busy each day with her herd of cows who all have names like we do. She sells their milk, fresh each day.
