Next Thursday we will be celebrating our cultural diversity at Diamond Harbour School during our Cultural Day. Volunteers from the community and teachers will hold eight 30 minute long workshops with activities related to specific countries.

The countries represented are Russia, Japan, United Kingdom, Pasifika,   Australia, Israel, New Zealand and European countries.   Activities will involve cooking, dance, crafts, quizzes and more.

To help us celebrate, children are encouraged to dress up in national costumes (or even wear a little something) to represent their origins.

We will start the day at 9.00 in Te Kete Aronui.  House Groups will be divided into two and we will head straight off into the activities.

W are also having a whole school lunch on the day. Children will get an opportunity to sample foods from selected countries. There will be gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free options available. Each child to bring a contribution of $1.00 please (unless you have paid for the term).

Come along and join in the fun, we'd love to see you there!
