Getting connected to Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) explained.
A series of videos have been produced by Chorus to help explain how to connect to Fibre.
Connecting your business to UFB includes physically connecting a fibre optic cable to your business or home from the roadside. This may involve digging a trench, using existing pipes or other methods including using surface mounting or an aerial cable.
If you live in a Rights of Way, apartment building or your business is based in shared premises you will need to seek consent from your neighbours, landlord or body corporate before we begin installing fibre.
It may sound daunting but Chorus has connected tens of thousands of Kiwi homes and businesses to our Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) network. The fibre install process is as easy as ABC - Agree, Build, Connect.
To help with these questions check out the attached videos. They explain the install process and the consents process for different types of buildings.
