A photomontage is basically a collage of photos or parts of photos that are joined or layered to create a new image.

Originally photomontages were made by cutting out photos and gluing them onto a piece of paper to make the new picture. Now it’s possible to do the same thing online.

The possibilities are endless – create a mythical creature using the head of one animal and the tail of another, or a strange planet with 3 moons and pink trees. Consider having an element of surprise (like a whale in a bathtub), or tell a story.
