Supporting Anglican Missions in 2025
An update from the Diocese of Dunedin Mission Enabler, Dot Muir... and a request to continue to give generously.
You may be interested in an inspiring interview (above) with Dr Peter Lineham (Professor Emeritus of History, Massey University) recorded at our General Synod this year.
Anglican Mission are our church's way to make a difference around the world and we are so appreciative of the way the church - especially Anglicans in the south - have continued to give regularly, including to any special appeals.
Many Parishes pledge an annual amount that they will give at there AGM, which helps Anglican Missions plan their year. If you have done this already, please let them know, and if you haven't... it's not too late to talk to your faith community about what you could give. Some churches may be finding this gifting difficult, but please let us know why and perhaps we can help you find some creative ways to give.
We have included a form below that you can take to your Chapter, Vestry or Church Committee to indicate your support for 2025 (before you set your budgets for the coming year). You can send these forms to Anglican Missions or to me and I will pass them on. We will also have some of these forms at Synod that reps can take back to their communities.
There are resources on the Anglican Missions website that could also help you to get your communities interested.
