It is with deep sadness, but also great thankfulness for many years of faithful service, that I write to let you know of the death of Reverend Canon John Meadowcroft.

On behalf of the Diocese, I extend our deepest sympathies to John's family at this time. We hold them in our prayers. 

John was the Vicar of St Matthew's Dunedin 1980-1989 and a Canon of the Cathedral from 1985 -1989.  

Bishop Peter Carrell will be leading a Memorial Service to celebrate John's long life in Christchurch, on Saturday, February 19 at 1pm. Numbers are limited to 100 and My Vaccine Pass will be required. The service will be live-streamed via oneroomstreaming.com/login
