Online Worship Working Group

John Graveston —

The Diocese is putting together a group to to work on online worship resources. Does this sound like you?

On the 20 of March 2020 the Archbishops of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia, with the support of the Diocesan Bishops, ceased all public worship in Anglican churches effective the 23 March 2020.

The Anglican church is now in a new era where we must look at technology to help us connect with each other for communal worship. Because of this the Diocese is would like to form a working group for developing online worship.

What do we need?

  • Do you have some IT skills and enjoy problem solving and figuring things out?
  • Have you got skills in leading worship in ways that can engage people differently?
  • Can you pull together others who can help with songs, prayers...a whole host of gifts, and who could do this remotely?

This could be your oppourtunity to live out the life of Christ in a different way and continue to help and support our wider communities in what could be challenging days ahead.

If you are interested in being part of this group please contact John Graveston (youth@calledsouth.org.nz, 022 049-6029).

We plan to have our first Zoom meeting on Wednesday the 1st of April.
