Kia Ora, Since the launch of Lifeline's text support service, HELP 4357, in March this year we have received over 88,500 text messages and had 9,000 conversations.
• 100% felt listened to • 100% felt their needs were responded to • 100% felt acknowledged and treated without judgement • 82% felt less distressed at the end of the conversations • 87% felt they were encouraged to identify their personal strengths.
The service is available to anyone who wants to talk about what is worrying them - it's free to text and available 24/7. Text messages are responded to by a qualified counsellor or well-trained volunteer. Please share HELP (4357) with your community so they know there's always someone there for them and help is just a text away. If you would like printed promotion cards, flyers or posters please email info@lifeline.org.nz, you can also download a printable PDF of the poster in both English and Te Reo.
