Operation Refugee and the Winter Story are below....

Lakshmi  — Image by: CWS

Lakshmi has always had to work hard, but now at 86 years old, she is dependent on the kindness of others. India’s Tamil Nadu government has denied emergency food rations to people like her living alone. So, when young women from CWS partner, EKTA, arrived at her door she could not believe her good fortune. Read the Winter Story, Just for you. Please contact Jordyn if you would like copies to share in your parish.

Operation Refugee

Syrian refugees are more worried than ever. They are facing Covid-19, lower levels of humanitarian assistance and collapsing local economies. They need emergency food or cash vouchers, medical care and funding for education for all ages. Please join this year’s Operation Refugee and raise funds for the Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees providing all the support to refugees from Syria that they can.

Operation Refugee runs until November 30.Opt for Food for Life and live on refugee rations or organise a Pop-Up Banquet. Walk the Talk is an individual challenge or an opportunity to organise a walking event. Fundraising is on line. Find out more in the Kete, or contact organiser, Eric Park 022 377 6606.
