Have you seen us?

Andrew Metcalfe —

You may have noticed cars that are sporting Diocese of Dunedin logos

Two of these cars have been provided for our Ministry Educator and Community Enabler (with others able to book if/when required) and are Japanese second hand imported Toyota Aqua Hybrids. These were purchased using funds in the Diocesan Car account and are being "leased back" to the Ministry team. We went for secondhand ones as a way of recycling rather than purchasing new, and for hybrids as they are economical around town but can also cope with extended journeys (where range for a fully electric car may be a problem). They both happen to be coloured green - if the number plate ends with an odd number, it's Anne van Gend, with an even one likely to have Michael Godfrey behind the wheel.

Bishop Steve thought that having his car being identified in the same way was a good idea, so he now sports the same livery on his existing Mazda.

These days where we use a variety of ways to connect and stay in touch, a physical presence is still essential. These cars help spread the word in more ways than one, with the QR code directing people to our website.
