Anglo Catholic Hui - Te Hui Katorika o Te Hahi Mihinare 2024 - In Ōtepoti Dunedin

The Anglo Catholic Hui is back in Ōtepoti Dunedin this August, with a great programme on offer to inform and inspire.

Theme: 'The Incarnational life'

When: August 15-17 2024, Otepoti Dunedin. St. Paul’s Cathedral (Thursday), All Saints’ Church Dunedin North (Friday), St. Peter’s Church, Caversham (Saturday).


Opening Mass 6pm Thursday August 15, St Paul's Cathedral

Closing Mass 12.30pm Saturday August 17, St Peter's Church, Caversham

Speakers include Br. Christopher John SSF

The Programme Includes:

  • panel discussion on being Anglo-Catholic in the three Tikanga Church,

  • presentations on: what works with young people, the incarnational witness of religious orders, the Church Life Survey, how to invite people into the mystery,

  • Guest speaker: Brother Christopher John SSF, Minister General of the Society of St. Francis,

  • Mass Class 101- an introduction to Eucharistic liturgy and practice,

  • panel discussion on Anglican priesthood today,

  • book launch of David Hilliard’s Anglo-Catholicism in Australia and NZ: a short history,

  • glorious liturgies,

  • mutual encouragement and social time, and more.

 

Everyone is welcome. There is no registration fee this year (it will be possible to give koha), meals will be provided by the three Dunedin churches.
