Day 3 of Synod 2024: 22 November 2024
An update on the Third Day of Synod 2024 immediately before the Electoral College.
The only business of this Session will be the Third Reading of the Bills passed on 14 September 2024 that were omitted on the day.
As Electoral College members are also Synod Members, the easiest way to do this is to constitute a Third Day for Synod and complete the Third Reading (and ratification) as follows:
Third Reading of Bill No 3 –
The President moves confirmation of Bill No: 3 – A Bill to amend Statute 15 “The Clergy Pension and Benevolent Fund Statute 1988 (2006)”.
Third Reading of Bill No 4 –
The President moves confirmation of this Bill No. 4 - A Bill to amend Statute 26 "The Dunedin Diocesan Trust Board Amendment Statute 2022".
This should only take a few moments at the completion of the Electoral College Eucharist (which will take place at St John's Roslyn at 6.30 pm on Friday 22 November 2024). We can then concentrate on the important work of the Electoral College.
