Diocese of Dunedin children's ministry leaders share Lenten and Easter resources and ideas

Rev. John Graveston —

Diocese of Dunedin children's ministry leaders met by Zoom this week to share their ideas for activities that have worked in previous Lenten and Easter children's ministry programmes, as well as new ideas for 2022.

Our Child, Youth and Family Educator the Rev. John Graveston opened the meeting with a discussion around the impact that Covid-19 was having on children's ministries within the Diocese and asking those in attending how it was affecting their ministries.

Those in attendance then shared ideas and resources they had used themselves, as well as a range of nationally produced or international online and printed materials that local church children's leaders may find useful (with Lent and Easter just around the corner).

The six participants from Dunedin Diocese represented All Saints (Dunedin North Parish), St Luke’s Oamaru and St Paul’s Cathedral. Everyone had something to contribute, and people really appreciated both meeting others working in children’s ministry in the Diocese, and hearing the ideas and experiences of others.

Here are some of the other resources and ideas that we discussed:

STRANDZ Resources
Giant Resurrection Eggs
The feast is ready to begin
Family Lenten Activities
