Resilient Faith Communities

Andrew Metcalfe - September 17, 2024

Synod 2024 was blessed to have two encouraging and challenging reports from the Climate Resilience Conference in Suva, Fiji, which were captured on video.

Rev'd Esther Clarke-Prebble and Julanne Clarke-Morris spoke about their attendance at the Climate Resilience Conference in Suva,  Fiji. This was focused on Moana Water of Life Part 2 Talanoa and followed on from Part 1 held in conjunction with the Diocese of Lincoln UK.

Julanne's presentation also shared information from the Faith and Belief Study, with both emphasising that Climate resilience meets and helps church resilience, with safe and resilient churches being communities who know us, uphold us and help protect us in our times of crisis. There was a reminder that the Season of Creation is now taking place 1 Sept – 4 October ... and we have further resources for this in our Nourishing Faith article.
