Monday March 9th 2026 is when the 110th anniversary of the death of Rev. Arnold Spencer-Smith is being remembered at All Saints' Church, Dunedin.

Antarctic explorer, Padre, Photographer to the Ross Sea Party of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.

The following is planned for Monday 9th March:

• 5.30pm Mass using Spencer-Smith’s chalice & paten

• 6.30pm Reception in All Saints’ Hall

• 7.00pm 8th annual Spencer-Smith Lecture: ‘The SY Aurora – a ship with a need, Port Chalmers – a community responds’, given by Pat Caswell, Volunteer at Port Chalmers Maritime Museum.
