Volunteer drivers needed for meals on wheels

Lynette Keith & Licia Mihaka —

Are you willing to help bring hot, nourishing food in Dunedin and Mosgiel from the Home of St Barnabas Trust?

We are seeking volunteer drivers for meals on wheels on the following day and locations.

Mosgiel

  • A Tuesday or/and Thursday (weekly)

Pick up is in Mosgiel 11.30am and a meal run would take around 40 minutes

Dunedin

  • A Monday until October, or longer if wished (weekly)
  • A Wednesday ( fortnightly )
  • Friday (could be either Weekly or Fortnightly)

Pick up for meal runs in Dunedin is at St. Barnabas, 12 Ings Ave. St. Clair 11.45am and runs take 40 minutes.

We like to try and give volunteers the same meal run when we can and this is a good way of getting to know the people on your run and for them to get to know you also.

Anyone can buy our meals, whether they a have difficulty shopping or preparing your own food. All our meals are cooked here on site fresh each day. They are good, honest fare just like your mum used to make; wholesome and nutritious. Some of our clients order only 3 meals per month, others 4 or 5 meals a week.
