Andrew Metcalfe —

You may have seen our recent article on Anglican Family Care (AFC) and the wonderful work carried out in our communities. The AFC Board currently has two vacancies: is this something you or someone you know could help fill?

What we need

The Anglican Family Care Board are looking for people who have the following skills and or experience:

  • Strategic
  • Finance
  • Business
  • Social sector fundraising
  • Social sector knowledge
  • Information technology
  • Digital transformation

You would ideally have a background or knowledge within health, social services and/or business.

Who we need

We are looking for people who have a broad perspective on things, are good communicators, who can actively contribute to the board and be an ambassador for Anglican Family Care. You also need to be able to commit to the time involved in this (monthly board meetings and preparation time for this). The board meets on the 4th Thursday of every month from 12.30 - 2 pm.

If this sounds like you, get in touch with the chair of Anglican Family Care Board, Jim Hawker: jim.hawker@forsythbarr.co.nz.

Please note: all formal applications for the Anglican Family Care Trust Board go through the Diocese of Dunedin Trusts Board (the Diocesan Council) for ratification. This includes an application form and two declarations (1. Declaration of Adherence to the Constitution/Te Pouhere and the Code of Canons of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia; 2. Charities Declaration)
