I am very sad to announce the death of Fr Tim Hurd over the weekend at home.

We have been advised that the Requiem Eucharist for the Rev. Timothy Hurd will take place at All Saints’ Church, Dunedin, 2pm on Saturday 3 June followed by private cremation.

Everyone is welcome to come to the service, and to refreshments in the church hall afterwards. Please feel free to use the church carparks.

Clergy are encouraged to vest in albs and violet stoles, and assemble in the church hall at 1.45pm.

Following his theological training in Fiji and Auckland, Fr Tim was ordained Deacon in 2000 and Priest in 2001. He served at the Cathedral and All Saints’ Church in Dunedin, followed by posts in the Christchurch Diocese and Oamaru.

He contributed to the life of the church in the Diocese here, as well as more widely to the Province both prior to and after ordination.

Lately Fr Tim was a committed member of All Saints’ Church in Dunedin.

Our prayers are very much with Fr Tim’s mother Carol, as well as the rest of the family.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
