Ordination to the Priesthood: Rev'd Dr Tony Martin

Bishop Steven —

I am delighted to announce that Dr Tony Martin will be ordained Priest this Sunday June 30th at 4pm at St Paul's Cathedral.

Tony and Katherine have been worshiping at the Cathedral for the last few months and it was wonderful to have him preach at the Commonwealth Day Service this year. Tony has been a Presbyterian minister for over 30 years, serving in parishes within New Zealand and with the British Army as a Chaplain in the UK. He is now working in a civilian role for the Otago Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group. For sometime Tony has felt God calling him to offer ministry in Dunedin and more specifically in the Anglican Church and at the Cathedral. I and others also recognise this call and look forward to seeing Tony’s ministry develop further.

I was delighted to recently Ordain Tony Deacon and now  warmly invite you to join us on the occasion of his Priesting.  Clergy are invited to  robe,  red stoles please.

Light refreshments will be served  afterwards.
