Lent, in the Christian church, is a period of spiritual preparation for Easter. In Western churches it begins on Ash Wednesday, six and a half weeks before Easter, and is a chance for the Church to reflect Jesus Christ’s fasting in the wilderness before he began his public ministry.

I am delighted to announce that John will be Ordained to the Priesthood at the Cathedral on Friday 23 April 2021 at 7pm.

To mark this important milestone, the Tarras Community Church Charitable Trust are holding a thanksgiving service at the church at 11am on Saturday 10 April 2021 followed by a barbeque lunch in the church grounds.
