Ministry Unit Safeguarding Annual Audit 2025

Each year the Diocese requires ministry units to complete a Safeguarding Aduit for presentation at their ministry unit AGM. This is your friendly reminder to do so.

Each year, the Diocese requires every ministry unit to complete a comprehensive Safeguarding Audit, which we ask be presented at the Ministry Unit's Annual General Meeting (AGM). This process is designed to ensure that all ministry activities adhere to the highest standards of safety and protection for every individual involved.

The primary goal of the Safeguarding Audit is to assess and enhance your Ministry Units practices you have in place to protect vulnerable members of the community. By systematically reviewing current safeguarding measures, ministry units can identify potential areas of risk and implement improvements that foster a secure environment. This proactive approach not only helps in preventing incidents but also builds trust among congregation members, staff, and the wider community.

The annual Safeguarding Audit is not merely a compliance exercise—it is a critical tool that strengthens the ministry unit's commitment to protecting its community. By embracing a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, ministry units can ensure that they are not only meeting diocesan requirements but also creating a secure and welcoming environment for all.
