In True Community Book Now Available
On 2nd and 3rd November this year, the Otago Peninsula Parish celebrated the 100th anniversary of the opening of the current St Michael and All Angels Church in Andersons Bay, and launched the updated history of the parish, "In True Community".
It recounts the story of the parish from 1990 (the point at which the first parish history concluded) until the present day, focusing in particular on the people of the parish. The updated history would be of particular interest to anyone with an interest in or association with the Otago Peninsula Parish.
Kay Cooke, Dunedin author and former parishioner, writes
"A real treasure. It isn’t a stuffy tome (as sometimes a church history can be) but a sparkling, vibrant, enjoyable and accessible read."
The book is $20.00 per copy, and can be ordered from the Otago Peninsula Anglican Parish Office (454 4724 or opanglican@xtra.co.nz).
