What is the Hope for 2024? by Called South

What is the Hope for 2024?

To officially kick off 2024, we ask Bishop Steve what hope there is for us as we look to a world with so many challenges... and many that we face as well.

Bishop Steve reflects on the above, and gives us an invitation to be part of solutions for the world, living out the Marks of Mission as we seek to be "Transforming Faith Communities who read the Bible, pray and live out the risen life of Christ".

This year we want to explore this more and we will be encouraging you to reflect and pray about this in our own faith communities. It will focus around a document called: "Transforming Faith Communities... A Vision for the Diocese of Dunedin" which we are planning to share more widely in February.

As we recalled during the Bishop's Charge at Synod last September when Jesus asked Peter to come to him on the water, all that Christ wants of us is to be with him and join him on the water. This does mean leaving the safety of our boats... but it does result in transformation for us and the world we live in.

Let's continue to be people of Hope who live lives of Love that transform our Church, our communities... and the world we live in.
