Fearfully and Wonderfully Made by Tarani Napa and Tevairangi Napa

World Day of Prayer Friday 7 March 2025

World Day of Prayer is an international, inter-church organisation led by women which enables us to hear the thoughts, hopes, concerns and prayers of women from all parts of the world.

You are invited to join in worship and fellowship at a church near you - ask your faith community what plans are underway and who you may be able to join with.

The programme this year has prepared by the WDP Committee of the Cook Islands. Our sisters from the Cook Islands have spent the last few years deepening into the theme: “I Made You Wonderfully,” based on Psalm 139:1-18. This program invites us into the knowledge that each one of us was made with care and love by God. When we can receive this profound truth, everything in our life changes and we begin to radiate and shine from within. We also learn how to treat every other person as made wonderful by God.

Resources have been adapted for use in New Zealand by World Day of Prayer Aotearoa New Zealand.

Some Services...

In Dunedin, there is a Combined Churches Prayer Event on 6th March and an eccumenical service on the 7th.

New Zealand, with its rich tapestry of cultures and landscapes, calls for our unified prayers to see God move in our nation. You are invited to be a part of this night as we, the Church come together and stand on behalf of what connects us with one another, our nation of Aotearoa. All are welcome to join us as we stand united in faith, believing in the power of prayer to shape the future of Aotearoa.
