Remembering Arnold Spencer-Smith @ All Saints Dunedin

Saturday March 8th 2025 is when the 109th anniversary of the death of Rev. Arnold Spencer-Smith is being delebrated at All Saints' Church, Dunedin.

Antarctic explorer, Padre, Photographer to the Ross Sea Party of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.

The following is planned for Saturday 8 March:

  • 5.00pm Mass using Spencer-Smith’s chalice & paten, blessing of Spencer- Smith Window

  • 6.00pm Reception in All Saints’ Hall,

  • 7.00pm 7th annual Spencer-Smith Lecture: "Paths are made for walking"

    by Susanna Ferrar, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, P.G.Cert. Antarctic Studies, Grandchild of Antarctic explorer H.T. Ferrar.
