Year 11 Students Involved in Gripping Futsal Comp and Captaincy Elections Begin
Year 11 are in their final term of their preliminary study. Students have made a remarkable transition to their senior study and continue to be a positive force throughout the school community and student body.
This term, Lauren B and Alex H have launched a year group Futsal comp to provide a space for students to engage in physical activity, team work and much needed fun!
The first two games held last week were refereed my Mr Cucciniello. In the first round, the Zoe’s faced the Bangerz in a grippping launch to the comp. Makenna made a impressive score, followed by a great save by Gemma in goals. Max secured the win with another goal, resulting in three points for the Bangerz.
In the next round, The Nelsons faced Laki FC in a tough match up. Emile scored the first goal, propelling Laki FC to the lead. The Nelsons were not giving up though, with impressive defending from Raf P and an incredible goal save by Vicky. Alas, with not one but two goals Caelan secured the win for his team, leading them to victory and pride for their team manager/Retail teacher, Mr Konistis.
Alongside sporting success, Year 11 students also prepared for the captaincy elections taking place this week. I would like to wish all the candidates best of luck and I know any of them will excel in representing the school.
