The Opening Night at Chrissie Cotter Gallery held on Wednesday 10 November, was launched by Mayor Darcy Byrne. 

This year saw a record number of entries, 240 entries in total and our students have done extremely well to be acknowledged by the judges Vivian Pham and Andrew Pippos.

For the first time the winning entries were exhibited at the Chrissie Cotter Gallery, students received an award in recognition of their creativity and talent in both Visual Arts and Writing categories. 

The Inner West Council’s Young Creatives Awards are open to young people aged between 12 - 24, who study, work or live in the Inner West Council area. . The prizes are $500, $250 and $100 in 6 categories. The primary objective is to nurture and provide professional connections to creative networks.

The competition provides young people the opportunity to hone creative skills in a competitive environment and to have their work seen and published.
